TransCert Shipping and Receiving Inspection of Food Carrying Containers

This course is designed to help companies begin to inspect their food transportation processes and to compare their inspection results against TransCert established standards.  The course is intended to help companies gather baseline data and to consider how to improve cold chain transportation sanitation, traceability and temperature process controls.

For companies importing or exporting perishables, implementing transportation process controls are critical requirements for maintaining food safety and quality as food travels thousands of miles through many carrier processes.  The United States Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rules are coupled with homeland security and border protection requirements that may restrict the entry of food into the US if any adulteration is suspected.

The course is prerecorded and lasts approximately one hour.  It is downloadable for future use and includes a two part inspection checklist with instructions.  The checklist is designed to be immediately used and includes a scoring system for later data analysis.
